Iridescent Smithereens – Handmade Stoneware Brooch with Mother-of-Pearl Luster

Inspired by broken fragments and the quiet beauty of imperfect forms, the Iridescent Smithereens brooch features an irregular shard-like shape made from speckled stoneware clay with fine black grog particles. The front of the piece is covered with a transparent glossy glaze and finished with mother-of-pearl luster, creating a delicate iridescent surface that shifts in the light with pearly, pink, green, and rainbow reflections.

Minimal yet expressive, this brooch feels like a small ceramic fragment transformed into a wearable piece of art — raw in shape, refined in finish, and quietly eye-catching. Its sculptural form makes it a distinctive accent for a blazer, coat or dress.

A beautiful, sturdy stainless steel pin fixing is attached on the back of each brooch, ensuring it fastens securely to clothing.
